EDI and SAP integration for mid-sized companies

I connect your trading partners to SAP via EDI and automate order processing, so data arrives validated instead of being fixed by hand. You work directly with the developer, no agency in between.

From practice

More than 90 % fewer processing errors at more than 4,000 order records a day.

Rebuilt the order processing of a manufacturing company: EDIFACT inbound, validation, mapping and hand-over to SAP via REST, built with C, C#, PowerShell and Oracle. Read the case study

How I can help

EDIFACT connection to SAP

Orders, despatch advices and invoices (ORDERS, DESADV, INVOIC) from customers and suppliers reach SAP automatically and validated. Hand-over via IDoc or REST, depending on your system landscape.

Order automation

Manual entry and rework disappear. Every record is validated, enriched and only passed on when it is correct.

Onboarding new partners

Partner-specific rules live in a maintained mapping table instead of scattered special cases. A new partner becomes configuration, not a rebuild.

Monitoring and reprocessing

Every message has a status, every error a cause. Problems are reported before the customer calls and can be reprocessed without manual work.

How a project works

  1. 1

    Assessment

Which partners, which message types, where errors happen today and who fixes them. The result is a concrete implementation plan.

  2. 2

    Architecture

Inbound, validation, mapping, hand-over and monitoring as clearly separated stages. Idempotent, so no duplicate orders are created.

  3. 3

    Build and test

Built with real test messages from your partners, alongside live operations and without risk to day-to-day business.

  4. 4

    Go-live and operation

Switch-over partner by partner, then monitoring and, if you like, maintenance with fixed response times.

Entry packages and prices

Starting prices for a typical scope, final prices without VAT (§ 19 UStG). Binding fixed-price quote after a free initial call.

Frequently asked questions

What does an EDI connection to SAP cost?

A production EDI connection starts at €2,999 (final price, no VAT under § 19 UStG) for a typical scope. An interface analysis with an implementation plan starts at €1,200. After a free initial call you receive a binding fixed-price quote.

Do I need an EDI provider or a VAN?

Not necessarily. Many partners send directly via AS2 or SFTP. Whether a VAN makes sense depends on how many partners you have and which transfer methods they require. The assessment clarifies this.

Is SAP connected via IDoc or via API?

Both are possible. IDocs are established in many SAP landscapes, REST or OData interfaces are often faster to build. What matters is what your SAP team can and wants to operate.

How long does a project take?

A single connection with a few message types usually takes a few weeks. A central integration layer for many partners is built in stages, so a first partner goes live early.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. I work remotely across Germany and internationally; on-site meetings in North Rhine-Westphalia are possible by appointment.
